Mini Newborn Sessions
While many families choose my full Signature Newborn Session for the complete newborn photography experience, Mini Newborn Sessions are available as a shorter, simplified option for those who would prefer a small collection of beautiful newborn photographs.
Mini sessions are designed to be simple and relaxed, capturing your baby in a small selection of natural, wrapped images.
This is an all-inclusive package, so you’ll know exactly what you’re going to spend before your session takes place.
The session lasts up to one hour and focuses on simple, wrapped photographs of your baby. If your baby is awake when you arrive, we’ll capture some lovely awake images. If they’re asleep, we’ll photograph them peacefully sleeping.
Your mini package includes 5 fully retouched digital images, carefully selected by your photographer and delivered to you as a digital download within two weeks of your session.
Unlike my Signature Newborn Sessions, Mini Sessions are designed to be simple and do not include posed images (such as the unclothed or partially clothed poses you may see in my portfolio), multiple props, bespoke setups, or family and sibling photographs.
For families who would like a greater variety of images, parent and sibling photographs, and a fully styled session with multiple setups, my Signature Newborn Session may be the better option. Many families who initially consider a Mini Session decide to choose the Signature Newborn Session once they see the additional variety and family images included.
My studio is located in Steeton, West Yorkshire, specialising in newborn and baby photography for families across the local area and beyond.

A £49 booking fee is required to reserve your Mini Newborn Session, with the remaining balance payable one week before your session takes place.

STUNNING PICTURES
I recently had a photoshoot of my newborn baby girl with Sarah and viewed the images she created today. I have to say it was quite emotional seeing my beautiful baby in such stunning pictures!
The whole experience in the studio was excellent…Sarah was welcoming, friendly and very professional. My baby girl was in very capable hands. I would highly recommend Sarah to capture some very precious pictures of your baby.
YOUR QUESTIONS
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BOOK MY MINI NEWBORN SESSION?
Mini newborn sessions are best suited to babies aged up to 6 weeks old, however I often photograph babies up to 8 weeks of age in a newborn style and I am confident in achieving a lovely set of images whatever age your baby is at the time of their session. As baby gets older and further past the age of 3 weeks old, they will start to be more alert and awake, so we usually find older babies will be awake for more of their session.
You can book a mini session anytime from your 12 week scan and I’d recommend booking well in advance to ensure I have availability.
We recommend booking your session for around 2 to 3 weeks after your due date. If your baby has already been born, we recommend booking your date as soon as possible, subject to availability. To book, please click here.
Newborn Sessions usually take place Monday to Friday, but if your circumstances don’t allow for this, please get in touch via the contact form below to discuss the options we can offer you.
What is the difference between a Signture Newborn Session and a Mini Newborn Session?
My signature newborn sessions are full sessions that last approximately 4 hours in our studio and include a choice of colours, props and accessories, as well as family & sibling images (if desired). These sessions typically produce a gallery of at least 25 beautiful images and are of a more posed nature (the typical curled up, sleepy newborn poses you may be familiar with). Clients are then invited back to the studio around 2 to 3 weeks after their session to choose their package and products (wall art etc.) and place their order. These sessions are more bespoke in nature and produce a variety of images. If you would like to look at my Signature Newborn Sesssions, please click here.
The mini newborn session is a much simpler session of your baby by themselves, which lasts up to one hour in our studio. These sessions include one fabric colour choice and one prop OR fluffy rug choice, to produce 5 beautiful images. Your baby will be photographed either awake or asleep (however they arrive) and the images will be simple in their poses. Your baby will be wrapped (in a long piece of material) to encourage calm. The included 5 digital images are selected and edited by your Photographer and will be sent these to you as a digital download wiithin 2 weeks of your session. Mini newborn sessions do not include multiple colour, prop or accessory choices, bespoke set ups, family and/or sibling images or refined, posed images of your baby – it is a simple mini session that gives you 5 beautiful images of your newborn baby.

Our Mini Newborn Session is priced at £249. A £49 deposit is payable upon booking to secure your session with the remainder due one week before your session.

Your Newborn baby photo shoot will take place in my studio in Steeton, near Keighley, Skipton, Ilkley & Bingley in West Yorkshire.
