Would you like to have some photos of your Newborn baby, but aren’t ready to commit to a full session?
Our Mini Newborn Sessions are perfect for you.
This session is an all-in mini package and price, so you know exactly what you’re going to spend before the session.
- The session itself will last up to 1 hour and is focussed on simple, wrapped shots of your baby.
- If baby is awake upon arrival, we will start shooting with your baby awake, if they’re asleep, then their photos will be of them asleep!
- Your mini package includes 5 fully retouched digital images, which will be chosen by your photographer and sent to you as a digital download within 2 weeks of your session.
- Unlike our Signature Newborn Sessions, the Mini Session does not include posed images (such as the unclothed or partially clothed poses you’ll see here in my portfolio), multiple props, bespoke set ups or family & sibling images.
My studio is in Steeton, West Yorkshire and specialises in newborn and baby photography for your family.

To book your Mini Newborn Session a £99 deposit is payable upon booking to secure your session, with the remainder of your package due one week before your session.

YOUR QUESTIONS
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BOOK MY MINI NEWBORN SESSION?
Mini newborn sessions are best suited to babies aged up to 6 weeks old, however I often photograph babies up to 8 weeks of age in a newborn style and I am confident in achieving a lovely set of images whatever age your baby is at the time of their session. As baby gets older and further past the age of 3 weeks old, they will start to be more alert and awake, so we usually find older babies will be awake for more of their session.
You can book a mini session anytime from your 12 week scan and I’d recommend booking well in advance to ensure I have availability.
We recommend booking your session for around 2 to 3 weeks after your due date. If your baby has already been born, we recommend booking your date as soon as possible, subject to availability. To book, please click here.
Newborn Sessions usually take place Monday to Friday, but if your circumstances don’t allow for this, please get in touch via the contact form below to discuss the options we can offer you.
What is the difference between a Signture Newborn Session and a Mini Newborn Session?
My signature newborn sessions are full sessions that last approximately 4 hours in our studio and include a choice of colours, props and accessories, as well as family & sibling images (if desired). These sessions typically produce a gallery of at least 25 beautiful images and are of a more posed nature (the typical curled up, sleepy newborn poses you may be familiar with). Clients are then invited back to the studio around 2 to 3 weeks after their session to choose their package and products (wall art etc.) and place their order. These sessions are more bespoke in nature and produce a variety of images. If you would like to look at my Signature Newborn Sesssions, please click here.
The mini newborn session is a much simpler session of your baby by themselves, which lasts up to one hour in our studio. These sessions include one fabric colour choice and one prop OR fluffy rug choice, to produce 5 beautiful images. Your baby will be photographed either awake or asleep (however they arrive) and the images will be simple in their poses. Your baby will be wrapped (in a long piece of material) to encourage calm. The included 5 digital images are selected and edited by your Photographer and will be sent these to you as a digital download wiithin 2 weeks of your session. Mini newborn sessions do not include multiple colour, prop or accessory choices, bespoke set ups, family and/or sibling images or refined, posed images of your baby – it is a simple mini session that gives you 5 beautiful images of your newborn baby.
