I offer Outdoor Family and Children’s Photo Shoots in Yorkshire’s stunning locations such as Skipton, Keighley, and Ilkley.

Outdoor Family Photo Shoots are suitable for families of all sizes with children of all ages, whilst Children’s Photo Shoots are suitable for children from sitting age (8 months+).
These shoots last approximately 1 hour and will take place in an agreed outdoor location within 15 miles of Steeton, West Yorkshire. If you would like us to travel further afield, this can be arranged with a small additional travel charge.

What Happens Next?
Step 1: Reserve Your Session
To book your Outdoor Family Session, simply complete the contact form at the bottom of this page to get in touch. Once we’ve found a suitable date for your session, an £80 Session Fee will secure your booking in my diary.
Step 2: Plan Your Session
Once your Session Fee has been paid, I’ll be in touch to arrange your pre-session phone consultation. This is a chance for us to chat about your family, discuss clothing, answer any questions you may have, and for me to recommend the perfect location for your session. We’ll make sure everything is planned and ready for the day.
Step 3: Enjoy Your Outdoor Session
Outdoor sessions are usually scheduled during the late afternoon or evening, when the light is at its most beautiful (see the FAQ section below for more information).
Relax and enjoy spending time together while I gently guide you through your session. There’s no need to worry about posing – I’ll help you every step of the way, capturing a mixture of natural moments and beautifully connected family portraits.
Step 4: View Your Images
Around 2-3 weeks after your session, you’ll return to the studio to enjoy a beautiful slideshow of your professionally edited gallery before choosing your Digital Image Collection and any wall art or display products you’d like for your home.

Digital Image Collections
Your Outdoor Family Session is booked with an £80 non-refundable Session Fee, which secures your space in my diary and includes your photography experience, guidance throughout your session, professional editing of your images, and your personalised Viewing & Ordering Appointment.
There’s no need to choose a Digital Image Collection before your session.
Around 2–3 weeks after your Outdoor Family Session, you’ll return to the studio to enjoy a beautiful slideshow of your professionally edited gallery before choosing your Digital Image Collection.
If you’d like to display your favourite photographs in your home, you’ll also have the opportunity to explore the beautiful wall art and display products available.
Most families choose to keep their full gallery once they see their finished photographs.

YOUR QUESTIONS
Where will our shoot take place?
Outdoor shoots will take place in an agreed outdoor location within 15 miles of my studio. I usually recommend a location for your shoot, as I have preferred spots to create the portraits like you see here on my website, but if you have somewhere in mind, please let me know and I’ll see if I think it’ll work! I love to create vibrant and fun outdoor family photography and always find that kids love these sessions and tell me how much they’ve enjoyed themselves at the end!
If you would like us to travel further afield for your session, we are happy to do this, but please let us know upon booking so we can send you a quote for our additional travel fee.
When's is it best to book an Outdoor shoot?
Outdoor scenery is at it’s best in Spring, Summer and Autumn. Spring (May-June) is best for capturing backgrounds full of wildflowers, such as bluebells and buttercups, whilst Autumn (October-November) is perfect for warm colours and running through leaves. I recommend that outdoor shoots take place between the end of April and the beginning of November.
My outdoor sessions are scheduled in the evenings during Spring & Summer and during late afternoons in Autumn, this is to ensure that we have the best lighting conditions for your portraits. I do not offer outdoor shoots in the middle of the day, due to the fact that the lighting conditions will not give us the best results. You can expect outdoor shoots to be scheduled for around 2-3 hours before sunset.
Can we book a weekend session?
Our sessions generally take place Monday to Friday afternoons or evenings, depending on the time of year. We also have limited Saturday availability (which is allocated on a first to book, first served basis) for which there is a £25 surcharge, which is payable upon booking.

HOW SHOULD WE PREPARE FOR THE SHOOT?

How long does an Outdoor session last?
Outdoor family or children’s shoots last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
when will we see our images?
Your viewing & ordering appointment will be booked with you at the end of your session for around 2 to 3 weeks later. This is when you will view your beautifully edited and enhanced gallery of around 30 images, choose your package/wall art and place your order.

To book an Outdoor Session, a non-refundable session fee of £80 is required upon booking to secure the date and time of your session.
Your session fee covers your session time and does not include digital images, prints or products. You will choose your package and any wall art or products at your viewing and ordering appointment, which takes place around 2 weeks after your session.
You don’t need to decide which package you’d like until your viewing & ordering appointment.
