Family & Children's Portraits, Newborn & Maternity photography
North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Lancashire and the UK.
Hello! I'm Sarah, a newborn baby & family photographer with a studio based in Steeton, a small town between Skipton & Keighley in West Yorkshire. I specialise in newborn baby photography, maternity photography and family & children's portraits and have a relaxed and friendly approach to my work. I have been a professional photographer for 17 years and counting and I am still loving every minute of it! I live and breathe photography, as it truly is my passion and I love to create vibrant, fun and creative images for my clients to enjoy for many years to come.
My love for photography began at university, where I gained a degree in contemporary photographic practice, before going on to work for a national portrait photography company as a photographer, straight out of university. In 2006 I joined the NHS as a medical photographer, qualifying in 2009 and working at a senior level in all things medical photography ever since, although now only on a locum basis as and when needed (if you don't know what medical photography is, just ask me!). I have also gained a number of awards for my work in this field.
I decided to start my business 6 years ago, in order to fulfil a lifelong passion for photographing people and creating beautiful, timeless portraits. I offer a variety of packages to suit your needs, from newborn photography in my beautiful studio, to outdoor family sessions, to styled children's sessions and maternity photography, both in my studio and at outdoor locations. I also cover events, such as Christenings and parties and offer branding sessions to businesses who are looking to improve their image content and update their headshots or websites. Please take a look at some of my work and if you like my style and are looking for a creative portrait photographer near Skipton, Keighley, Ilkley & Bingley to capture your family memories, then please get in touch to see what I can offer you.
When I'm not behind the camera, you can usually find me with my 7 year old daughter, getting stuck into some creative project, covered head to toe in glitter and glue! My daughter also loves to model for me on occasion, but is quickly developing 'photographers child attitude', which means if she doesn't want her photo to be taken, she most definitely will not be having it taken! Sometimes even bribery doesn't work!! Although, when anyone asks her what she wants to be when she grows up, she usually says 'a photographer, just like Mummy'.
