HEADSHOTS & BUSINESS BRANDING SESSION GUIDE
HOW TO PREPARE AND WHAT TO EXPECT
So your session can run as smoothly as possible, we have compiled a prep guide to help us get the most out of your session!
How long will my session last?
Simple Headshot session last around 30 minutes and Full Headshot Sessions last around 1 hour.
Business Branding sessions last between 1 and 3-4 hours, depending on the package you have selected.
How should I prepare for the session?
Headshot Sessions; Please arrive to the studio ready to start your session! Remember to bring your clothing options with you and have hair and/or make up done before arrival (if desired).
Business Branding Sessions; Please ensure your space is clean and tidy, ready to start your session! Please open windows before our arrival to ventilate the area and gather anything you would like to include in your images together.
What should I wear?
Headshot Sessions; Please bring 2 or 3 clothing options with you as there will be time to change during your session. We would definitely recommend plain, non-patterned clothing for professional headshots and please avoid logos or branded clothing and trainers, as these will date and create unnecessary distractions. Instead, opt for 2 or three colour tones that compliment each other. If you are looking for headshots to express more of your personality, please feel free to bring some clothing along that reflects your personal style. My sessions are relaxed and comfortable, so please make sure you feel comfortable with the clothing you bring.
We usually start your session by having a chat about your clothing and discussing background choices, so we can create the perfect headshots for you.
Business Branding Sessions; We want to show your personality, so please pick out some clothing options that you feel express this best and that you are comfortable in. We suggest choosing 2 or 3 clothing options and having them to hand so we can take a look at these at the start of your session.

How will you pose me?
We aim for a variety of poses and your photographer will help to guide you in posing for the most flattering images.
For Branding sessions we want to include items related to your work to show the ‘essence’ of what you do, so please have some ideas in mind for props that we can incorporate into your photographs.
Can I bring other family or friends to the session?
Only those participating in the session should attend the appointment, as having other’s there causes unnecessary distractions for everyone being photographed. But if you are attending the session alone and would like a friend or family member to accompany you to help you feel at ease, that’s fine! Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Our Sickness Policy
If you (or anyone in your party) have been feeling unwell in the days prior to your appointment, please contact me to rescedule your appointment. Where an illness is viral, contagious or involves sickness and/or diarrhoea, please observe the 48 hour free from symptoms rule.
Covid-19; Should you (or anyone in your party) develop Covid-19 symptoms or test positive for Covid-19 in the 7 days prior to your appointment, please contact me to reschedule your appointment (unless you have taken a lateral flow test to confirm a negative result).
Need to reschedule?
I get it, stuff happens. If you do need to reschedule your session, please let me know as soon as possible. If you need to reschedule within 48 hours of the start of your session, please contact me by calling me or sending me a text/Facebook message as I may not always be able to pick up emails at short notice. Your package is non-refundable, but I do allow rescheduling once within 14 days of your original session date, due to genuine illness or emergency – the date of reschedule is subject to availability. If you do not arrive to your session or are more than 20 minutes late, then you’ll need to pay a £50 rescheduling fee to book a new date. You can contact me on 07956114916.
When will I see my photographs?
Studio Sessions; Immediately after the session, I will select the best overall images and present your proof gallery to you in our viewing room at the studio. You can expect to see approximately 10 to 25 proof images in your proof gallery from a Headshot session, depending on the package you have selected.
This is your time to view your images and select your favourites. You can also choose to purchase additional images at this point, should you wish to. Payment for any additional images is due at the time of ordering.
Once we have received your finalised order, we will fully retouch your chosen images before sending these to you in a digital download within 1-2 weeks. If you have any specific deadlines you would like to meet, please inform us of these upon booking.
On location/Outdoor Sessions; Around 1-2 weeks after the date of your session you will be sent a link via email to view your proof images in an online gallery. Your gallery will be open for a period of 24 hours to allow you to select your favourtie images and purchase additional images, if you choose to. Payment for any additional images is due at the time of ordering. Once we have received your finalised order, we will fully retouch your chosen images before sending these to you in a digital download within 1-2 weeks. If you have any specific deadlines you would like to meet, please inform us of these upon booking.
Where is your studio?
You can find me at; First Floor, 29 Station Road, Steeton, West Yorkshire, BD20 6RL (above Imagine Hair & Beauty Salon).
Please enter via the front door and head up the stairs, where you will find my studio on your right. There is no on-site parking at the studio, but I will advise you of close-by on-street parking options before your session. Please try to arrive on time, but if you are running late, please message me on; 07956114916.
